Heading into the stretch run of the Clausura campaign, this weekend represents a perfect time for the Super Clasico.
Both Chivas de Guadalajara and Club America sit level in the Liga MX standings heading into Round 13 with 17 points apiece, and the upcoming match on Sunday is a proverbial six-pointer. Under Antonio Mohamed, America have regressed from the heights they reached under Miguel Herrera, while Chivas have taken a huge step forward under Jose Luis Real to put themselves in playoff contention at this point in the season.
