A week after pulling off an improbable two-goal comeback to tie the Portland Timbers at Providence Park, the Seattle Sounders continued their Road Warrior profile by traveling to Frisco, Texas and handing FC Dallas their first loss of the season.

The Sounders pulled off yet another road comeback, rallying from 2-1 down to beat FC Dallas, 3-2, a win that made Seattle the easy pick for SBI MLS Team of the Week.

The Sounders beat out the Colorado Rapids and New England Revolution for this week’s honors?

What did you think of the Sounders’ performance? Which MLS team impressed you the most in MLS Week Six?

  1. It’s difficult to argue against Seattle as TotW coming from behind twice on the road against the league leaders. This, despite them getting in their own way in falling behind 1-nil on a Stefan Frei howler (I know it was windy, but still no excuse for a ‘keeper at this level) and again from 2-1 on a silly, unnecessary PK foul compliments of DeAndre Yedlin….Full props to the Sounders for completely changing the momentum in dominating the 2nd half…..That Dempsey guy aint too shabby either. ;^)

    • I will give it a shot. I thought Dallas had many dangerous chances and really solved “our” defense and the offense really didn’t click early in this game.

Dempsey in the post game interview was happy they won and very dissappointed in the play. I would tend to agree, this team has a long way to go….and needs a new GK.

Props to Sigi for the team being a lot better in the second half. He has to be on the chopping block.

      • Everyone has “solved” our defense. We’ve given up a shocking, league most 14 goals. Next in line? 9 by Dallas. That’s where Dempsey is absolutely right. Gaping holes in the middle from atrocious passing out of the midfield has been the culprit for nearly all of them (not absolving the back 4, but they’re certainly exposed by the lack of a defensive midfield save for Alonso). I believe that’s what Deuce was referring to. Right now for the Sounders it’s a high(scoring) “risk vs reward” concept that certainly can’t last and needs to be fixed defensively….
