There aren’t many bright spots for the Chicago Fire through their winless start to the 2014 season, but one of the clear-cut ones is the emergence of Harrison Shipp.
The Notre Dame product has been outstanding early on in his rookie campaign, and he has continued to be an impact player in a season where there simply haven’t been many rookies to make their mark. Shipp continued his impressive play through April, cruising to a second straight SBI MLS Player of the Month honor.
Shipp beat out a field that included Montreal fullback Eric Miller and San Jose midfielder J.J. Koval, who is looking like a good bet to be Shipp’s best competition for MLS Rookie of the Year honors.
What did you think of Shipp’s performances in April? See anybody coming close to him in the MLS Rookie of the Year Race?
