The New England Revolution are currently the hottest team in MLS, and reason behind the team’s recent success is the play of rookie forward Patrick Mullins.

Playing as the lone forward and occupying both centerbacks, Mullins hard work and excellent hold-up play has allowed the Revs to play some pretty free-flowing soccer. In addition, Mullins scored another goal last Saturday vs. the Philadelphia Union, rounding out a performance that earned him SBI MLS Rookie of the Week.

Mullins beat out a field of rookies including Harrison Shipp, Nick Hagglund and Mark Sherrod for this week’s honors.

What did you think of Mullins’ performance? Which other rookies impressed you in MLS Week 11?
