The last major Soccer Saturday of the 2013-14 European league calendar should be one to remember with a La Liga title decider on the same day as a pair of domestic cup finals.
Atletico Madrid need a win or a draw Saturday at Camp Nou, home of defending champions Barcelona. Lionel Messi, Neymar and the rest of Barcelona’s high-caliber squad can repeat as title holders and grab the trophy with their 17th home win of the season. On the other side, Diego Costa, David Villa and Atletico Madrid can be the first team outside of the El Clasico duopoly to win the Spanish top division title in a decade, and they will be looking to keep their dreams of a historic double alive.
In England, Arsenal are hoping to end their nine-year trophy drought at Wembley Stadium, where they will face Hull City in the FA Cup Final. The Gunners are in good form at the finish line of their season, defeating Hull City in both of their meetings this season while getting several players back from long-term injuries. The Tigers from Hull, on the other hand, lost four of their last five matches and will be heavy underdogs ahead of what they hope will be their first FA Cup title win.
While Bayern Munich cannot secure a treble again this season, they will go for a domestic double when they face Borussia Dortmund in the DFB-Pokal Final. The Bundesliga champions are favorites to repeat at German Cup champions, but they lost to Dortmund 3-0 at home earlier this season and dropped the Super Cup title to their biggest rivals to open the 2013-14 campaign.

Arlo White in town to announce the 2nd half of Seattle v SJ with Kasey Keller….Nice!
Sounders fan playing devils advocate…. possible that wasnt his intention?
He hit it and looked it in the whole way. Methinks it was intentional.
Intentional…but still very lucky. (That’s not meant to take anything away from Oba. Lots of goals rely on luck.)
Martins just scored a crazy opening goal in the Seattle vs SJ game, wow
SUBLIME goal by Oba! GotW candidate for sure!!
Yo Ives, why am I waiting moderation? I only said what anyone who has ever heard Shep Messing speak before has thought.
😀
congrats man, was very impressive. now for champions league!
Class. Jermain Defoe getting started early. 1 – 0 TFC, in the 12th min. GK had position, Defoe simply rocketed it upper 90, nearside corner.
Might not have been upper 90, even in replay the ball’s a blur. TFC is looking sharp 20 minutes in, but I don’t think they’ll run away with it. It’s been a good, open game.
Dortmund got robbed in the final, ball was over the line but not given and then went on to lose in ET
True but hummels looked offside.
Ya i wasn’t sure, it was extremely close, they didn’t have a straight across camera to tell on either call
Lahm picked up a foot injury in German Cup final. Might be a break of some kind.
Heard it might be a metatarsal injury, those can be serious
I suppose we’re stuck with sour-mug Wenger for another 10 years.
You just won the FA Cup….
Hoping for one more twist!
Nearly got it when Per fell over
What an unexpectedly great final!
This board is funny, a goal is scored in extra time and crickets. But everybody freaks out if a call is missed
Glad you were here to lighten up the mood among all the moaning.
Wynalda just said that Ramsey is English, oh my he is beyond awful
Why comment about that, your team just scored!
Because he’s not English.
That’d be like saying Landon Donovan is Mexican.
Yeah I know. But it was an odd comment Arsenal just scored a huge goal. Just goes to show most comments are complaints about one thing or the other and not about winning goals.
well, Donovan kinda looks mexican, he just needs to change his name to something like Lamberto Dolores
The amount of Hull City fans with facepaint on is disturbing, grown adults doing that, beyond weird
Gotta support the team!
There is supporting the team and then there is painting your face like a cat as an adult, lol
Lol, mine was a Seinfeld reference
it must suck to not be able to have fun, I feel bad for you.
I agree Dozy,
WTF you can’t have fun once your an adult? What’s wrong with facepaint?
High five!
Wenger needs to use his 2 subs soon, Ramsey is clearly gassed.
Ramsey trying out to be a field goal kicker clearly
“Remarkable scenes inside the Nou Camp as almost 100,000 Barca supporters, plus around 500 Atletico fans, rise to their fight to salute Diego Simeone and his men.” (BBC)
Class.
Want to bet that the Arsenal fans will be this classy if little old Hull wins?
Unlikely since they have been robbed by the officiating
they’ll be busy killing themselves
Probert lowered the bar
The crossbar denies Giroud, nooooo
Tack another 30+ on the season totals of Ozil and Per.
Yeah these extra 30 minutes are gonna take a toll in a months time.
Heh, heh, heh. I have no idea what you are implying I was implying.
Leti! Leti! Leti!
If this goes to penalties, is Probert going to allow Arsenal to take there’s or will only Hull get to hit from the spot?
probably
Bayern v Dortmund about to begin. Good times.
Congrats to Athletico!
arsenal drop wenger. come on guys. get someone else
10 years of just Madrid/Barca. Finally we done.
and Real Madrid finished 3rd place LOL
A lot of whiny Arsenal fans on here – they ignore the fact that their equalizer came from an incorrectly awarded corner
As much as I like messing with them, they do have a point. Should have gotten at least one of the penalties called.
You think only Arsenal fans think this is pathetic?
There is zero legitimacy in this match at this point. No rules have been followed.
4 penalty decisions > 1 corner kick decision. get real
