Montreal Impact fans have something positive to sit on following weeks of disappointing results to open the 2014 season.
The MLS Eastern Conference bottom dwellers shocked the league with a huge 2-0 shutout of the red-hot New England Revolution. Forward Jack McInerney helped cap off the match with an unassisted goal in the 38th minute, and the Impact’s performance earned them this week’s honor of SBI MLS Team of the Week.
The Impact beat out a field of streaky contenders including the Seattle Sounders, Vancouver Whitecaps, and Toronto FC.
What did you think of the Impact’s performance this past week? Can they use that as momentum to climb out of Eastern Conference cellar?

This is some sorry league. I am embarrassed.
The McInerney-Wenger trade was one of the worst (of many) mistakes Hackworth has made.
