Sunday’s Group H match between Belgium and Russia was far from entertaining for most of the 90 minutes, but Belgium eventually clinched a spot in the Round of 16 with a 1-0 victory.

After late heroics from Dries Mertens against Algeria, this time it was Divock Origi who played the hero for Belgium. In only his fourth international appearance, he came off the bench to score his first international goal. That goal puts Belgium through to the last 16 for the first time since 2002 and earns the 19-year-old the SBI Man of the Match award.

Divock got on the end of a cross from Eden Hazard and beat Igor Akinfeev down the middle of the goal to put Belgium ahead with less than five minutes to play. Divock earned the Man of the Match honors over Hazard, Mertens, and Russian defender Sergey Ignasevich.
