For the first time in eight games, the Columbus Crew left an MLS contest with all three points.

The Crew picked up their first win since May 24 by knocking off the Montreal Impact 2-1 via a Bernardo Anor brace.

The Impact opened the scoring by way of star forward Marco Di Vaio’s 35th minute finish. The Italian dribbled into and around Crew defender Giancarlo Gonzalez before rolling a shot past Crew goalkeeper Steve Clark to give the visitors the 1-0 lead in front of 21,112 at Crew Stadium.

Anor, who hadn’t scored since the Crew’s home opener on March 22, evened things up in the 56th minute with a left-footed strike from the top of the box. The Venezuelan took the pass from midfielder Tony Tchani and placed his shot just out of the reach of Impact goalkeeper Evan Bush to tie things at 1-1.

Anor added the winner just 18 minutes later, beating Bush once again with a long-rang effort. The Crew midfielder collected a loose ball in the midfield and dribbled toward the Impact defense, which granted Anor plenty of space to shoot. Anor took full advantage, firing a right-footed shot from distance to earn the Crew all three points.

The Crew will return to action Wednesday when they take on Premier League side Crystal Palace at Crew Stadium. Meanwhile, the Impact also face a short week with a Thursday matchup at Real Salt Lake looming.
