The LA Galaxy were adamant about picking up three points in Seattle, and they delivered on that end with an emphatic victory over the Sounders.
The Galaxy went into the tough venue that is CenturyLink Field and defeated the Western Conference-leading Sounders, 3-0, on Monday night. Landon Donovan, Stefan Ishizaki and Gyasi Zardes all scored for LA while Omar Gonzalez returned to lead the back line in an impressive defensive performance.
The thorough win in Seattle saw Bruce Arena’s side capture the SBI MLS Team of the Week award, as voted on by the SBI staff. Honorable mention went to the Colorado Rapids, San Jose Earthquakes and Sporting Kansas City.
What do you think of the Galaxy winning SBI’s MLS Team of the Week honors? Think that is the right choice? How impressive was LA’s road victory in Seattle?

Bruce Arena absolutely owns Sigi Schmid just about every single time, Sigi just can’t figure out how to beat him
Marcelo played his best game this season imo, totally outplayed Alonso (one of my favorite players btw). Arena made more moves to get his playmakers in concert and effective, Keane underneath more, LD out wide left with Rodgers on that left side to matchup with Seattle’s speed, Gyasi high against the Seattle back line, AJ and Gonzo doing their dynamic duo thing in central defense again…lots of moves paid off last night.
Agreed with all of that. I’m wondering if we’ll see this same lineup on Saturday. For all its success, I would be surprised if we saw the exact same lineup, only because Bruce has tinkered with the starting XI in almost every game this season. I think he’s used fifteen or sixteen different combinations.
I didn’t know that about all the combos, thanks for the info. will be interesting to see what Arena does with lineup this weekend. now that Gonzo’s back hopefully he and AJ can be the pair from here on out at CB
great team effort, complete performance at every position. thoroughly enjoyed seeing Seattle taken apart.
Fantastic game, I thoroughly enjoyed it. Landon, Sarvas & AJ were awesome. Galaxy!
Is it just me, or have we found yet another photo of Robbie Keane with a b0ner following a goal?
Hey, it’s a goal celebration. You can’t blame him for being happy.
I am in tears after reading this, lol.
OK fine I can’t resist.

No, I think that’s a gun in his pocket.
