Following the results of the MLS All-Star Fan XI, MLS team manager Caleb Porter and MLS Commissioner Don Garber were tasked with filling out the rest of the 23-man-roster.
Golden Boot leader Bradley Wright-Phillips, Toronto FC star Jermain Defoe and Chivas USA goalscorer Erick “Cubo” Torres were among those added to the squad by Porter and Garber Wednesday to join the eleven players voted in by the league’s fans.
The trio, who make up three of the league’s top four goalscorers, will each be making their first All-Star appearance, joining Michael Bradley, Bill Hamid and Obafemi Martins on the list of All-Star game debuts.
The final roster will be comprised of players representing 10 of the league’s 19 teams.
The MLS All-Star team will take on 2013 Champions League winners Bayern Munich on August 6 at Providence Park — home of the Portland Timbers — who will be represented on the roster by midfielders Diego Valeri and Will Johnson, as well as their manager, Porter.
Have a look at the full roster after the jump:

What do you think of the MLS All-Star roster? Any snubs come to mind? How will they fare against Bayern Munich?
Share your thoughts below.
You mean Donovan really is a forward?
Kind of sad that only half of the league is represented. You would think in a salary cap league you’d see a bit more balance than that.
Chris Schuler is the best defender in MLS right now. He has been healthy all year and he is by far the biggest snub.
I would also say that Javier Morales has had a nice first half with 5 goals and 6 assists but there are a lot of talented midfielders, so I understand it. However, I feel like guys like OG and Collin are just making it on reputation.
Not that it would work out like this but…
———Martins———-
Donovan-Dempsey-Zusi
–Beckerman-Bradley—
Parkhurst-Besler-OG-Yedlin
——–Rimando——-
If MLS starts this team might as well call it the USMNT vs Bayern Munich/Germany. It would probably get way better ratings than any previous All Star game. (BTW went with Martins because he’s got chemistry with Dempsey).
That actually would not be the worst idea ever…mostly because the knock on most all-star teams is they really don’t know each other or play together that well. This bunch just spend the last month together. Might as well take advantage of the chemistry you have. You know Jurgen would love to see it.
See if this idea occurs to Caleb Porter.
It’d be funny if in that fake USMNT system Donovan ends up scoring three and assisting on three more.
Haha, he won’t though
I thought Donovan was in bad form? how does he get another ALL STAR game? heck this has to be rigged. no way man
Opta has Donovan creating more chances per 90 minutes than anyone else in the league. Not his fault that his teammates have been missing sitters left and right this season.
Penedo/Robles
Sinovic Boswell Bernardez Schuler Farrell
Nguyen Feilhaber Kitchen Morales
Dwyer
But my only gripe is Will Johnson over Benny Feilhaber
No feilhaber -_-
1 fullback and no wingers..hmm. Will be quite interesting to see how this team lines up to get wrecked by Bayern
Play Parkhurst and Yedlin 90 at outside back and play the 4 CBs for one half each?
I can’t imagine Seattle or Columbus would be thrilled with either playing 90 minutes…
Pedro Morales = biggest snub
Will Johnson?
Since WIll Johnson is on the roster, it’s pretty darn hard to argue he was snubbed.
He probably meant that WJ is the player who should have been left off.
You are correct sir
Porter showing some Portland-tinged glasses with a few of his picks. Nguyen and Kitchen should be on that team.
MLS protecting its asset by leaving Fagundez off.
As a Timbers supporter, I assure you many of my kind are embarrassed by the Will Johnson nod.
