In Brazil, Sao Paulo-based rivals Santos faces Corinthians in a battle of South American powerhouses. Brazilian star Robinho could make his debut in this clash after joining Santos from AC Milan.

  1. The ref in the Seattle v Houston game just got talked into called a penalty by Houston, although it was a good call that was still extremely poor officiating, you can’t let players talk you into anything. Also it looked like Bruin had just handled in the box as well

  2. Jozy came on after Sunderland went up 2-0 vs. Udinese and got 29 minutes. Any word on how he did (and please spare me the Jozy hate).

  3. Watching Rangers vs. Hearts on FS Plus and I see Kenny Miller and Kris Boyd playing. Who knew the Scottish Championship was the MLS retirement league? 😉

    • Great comment. It reminds me that maybe 5 years ago a middling player, maybe Dorfman, left the NE Revs for Scotland, one of the teams below Celtics and Rangers, and in a couple of years he was among the top scorers in the league.

  4. Sublime build-up sequence on LFC’s 4th goal (though Coutinho’s pass crossed the goal line and should’ve been ruled a goal kick).

  5. Red Dragons rounding into form with a positive outing (so far) against Dortmund. Granted Dortmund is fielding fewer starters (e.g., no Hummels) but terrific to see LFC’s top attacking threats clicking with combination play and incisive, threaded passing.
