After a brief break for FIFA’s international dates, Europe’s top leagues resume play this weekend and three Americans are hoping to make their respective debuts in it.

Julian Green is among that trio, as he is looking to make his first appearance since joining Hamburg on loan. Green, 19, recently left Bayern Munich for Hamburg with the idea that he would see consistent playing time, and Sunday’s tilt vs. Hannover 96 could provide the U.S. Men’s National Team winger with an opportunity to see the field for this first time this season.

Like Green, Brek Shea is eager to return to the playing field on Saturday. Shea only just arrived at Birmingham City earlier this week via a loan from Stoke City, but still might be deemed fit enough to be in uniform for the upcoming clash with Leeds United despite having just one training session under his belt with his new club.

The other player champing at the bit to get back to playing is Freddy Adu, who is still in search of his first appearance for FK Jagodina. The Serbian club is off to a subpar start at 1-2-1 and currently sits in 12th place in the 16-team SuperLiga, so head coach Mladen Dodic might be willing to change things up and give Adu a crack at some first-team minutes.
