The Pac-12 Conference saw several if its top teams endure somewhat slow starts to the 2014 college season, but September has seen many of them rally to climb up the SBI College Soccer Top 25.

The Washington Huskies climbed into the top spot in the latest SBI rankings after posting their fourth straight win heading into this weekend. California and Stanford are two other Pac-12 teams that have climbed into the Top 12 after suffering early-season losses.

Another team that has been a pleasant surprise is Penn State. The Nittany Lions are one of the few remaining unbeaten teams in the nation, and wins against Indiana and Ohio State have Penn State looking like a strong frontrunner in the Big Ten.

Here is the SBI College Soccer Top 25 for Sept. 26th (records through Thursday):

  1. Just got back from USD upsetting UCLA. I hear stolz was rated pretty high on here and I can see the talent but UCLA couldn’t threaten offensively as a whole and he wasn’t an exception.

  2. Not sure there will ever be another college team as dominate as that Akron 2010 team. These rankings almost seem futile compared to those days because there are so many strong teams with very little separating them. That Akron 2010 team was on a different level than the rest of the NCAA
