For the third time in the last four editions of the UEFA Champions League, Bayern Munich and Manchester City were placed in the same group, and they’ll renew their European rivalry today.
Bayern has held the edge so far, winning the group both previous years, but it should be a heated affair once again when the Bundesliga and Premier League champions meet up at Allianz Arena.
The results of their two head-to-head matches may prove important as points against the other two teams in Group E — AS Roma and CSKA Moscow — are far from a sure thing.
Elsewhere in UCL play, the highly competitive Group F kicks off with tough luck Ajax Amsterdam — the Dutch giants have received several challenging group stage draws in recent years — beginning action by hosting Ligue 1 champion Paris Saint-Germain. In turn, Zlatan Ibramahimovic and company will be looking to get PSG off to a strong start before facing Barcelona in two weeks.
Other games today include Chelsea hosting Shalke 04, while Athletic Bilbao welcomes in Shakhtar Donetsk to the north coast of Spain.
Here’s a full schedule of today’s UCL action:

This schedule makes no sense. How can there be 7 games on Fox Soccer Plus? A little more research wouldn’t be too much to ask if you post a TV Schedule.
To clarify:
Fox Sports 1 has Bayern v Man City
Fox Sports 2 has Chelsea v Schalke 04
FSN/Regional Root Sports have Barcelona vs APOEL
The rest are streamable through ESPN3 and Fox Soccer 2 Go.
Fox Sports Plus has Matchday 90 which is the UCL ‘redzone’ channel.
Bayern v City will be interesting. It will be on Fox Sports 1.
I have no idea who is gunna win that. I would say Bayern… but they have been kinda a mess in many ways.
Who draws to Schalke?
By that I mean, Schalke is a train wreck(frequently are) but a bigger one than normal right now.
