Ahead of a weekend filled with action, Friday gives fans a nice appetizer of what’s to come with games in Europe, Mexico, Kansas City and across college campuses.
In Mexico, Ronaldinho’s Queretaro hosts Toluca in the Brazilian legend’s third game since joining the Liga MX club, while Veracruz and Club Tijuana battle to climb out of the bottom half of the table.
The European slate is kicked off by a Bundesliga matchup between Mainz 05 and Hoffenheim, who currently occupy fourth- and fifth-place, respectively, in the league table. Meanwhile, in Portugal, perennial powerhouses Sporting CP and FC Porto do battle in a meeting of two of the league’s top teams.
Finally, Friday evening boasts the kickoff of MLS Week 30 with a clash between Sporting KC and the New England Revolution. A meeting between highly ranked North Carolina and Notre Dame headlines the college action.
