Tab Ramos is in the process of narrowing down his U-20 U.S. Men’s National Team squad as he looks ahead to 2015 CONCACAF Under-20 Championships. But there are some challenges, he told SBI in an exclusive interview — time is running out and a number of players will not be available for the tournament. Call-ups to find that squad will be important over the next few months, he said.
Meanwhile, for the Chicago Fire, Tuesday saw some front line shuffling as Mike Magee will miss the rest of the season. It’s a bad blow for a team already sitting low in the standings as Magee has been their most productive player. Seemingly as a replacement the Fire signed French forward Florent Sinama Pongolle coming off a stint with FC Rostov.
And Euro 2016 qualifying action on Tuesday had some surprises: The Czech Republic beat the Netherlands, Italy topped Norway and Cyprus beat Bosnia-Herzegovina.
