Timmy Chandler had begun carving out a more regular role with Eintracht Frankfurt in recent weeks, but has now endured a setback.
Chandler has picked up a minor groin injury and is expected to do only individual training until he is back to 100 percent. The 24-year-old right back now seems unlikely to be in uniform for Eintracht Frankfurt’s match on Saturday against VfB Stuttgart, but Eagles manager Thomas Schaaf believes Chandler will only miss a few days.
In his first season back at Eintracht Frankfurt, the U.S. Men’s National Team defender has played in six of the club’s eight games thus far. He recently started in three straight, but will now have to wait at least another week before getting cleared to play again.
What do you think of Chandler suffering a groin injury? Think he will be back by next week? Worried that it might be an injury that lingers?

Of all the Nat team guys that I would think would be seeing big Euro minutes, Chandler would be down on the list. I don’t mean to slam Chandler when I say this, love him.
What I mean to say is the guys hoping for Nat team guys to play in Europe….Germany is the league they should be hoping for.
+1. Especially considering how England has not worked out for most Americans.
“minor groin injury” always sounds like an oxymoron
