Before Friday night’s clash with Louisville, the SBI No. 2 Syracuse Orange had only conceded three goals all season.

The Cardinals netted two against Alex Bono and the Orange on their way to a 2-1 victory in Louisville.

Orange midfielder Nick Perea converted a penalty in the 55th minute, and Louisville’s Tim Kubel converted from the spot in the 79th minute to send the two sides into overtime. Cardinals defender Jerry Ramirez latched his head onto a Kubel free kick and powered in the game-winning goal in the 97th minute.

No. 14 George Mason suffered their third loss of October via a 3-1 loss to Rhode Island. Unbeaten heading into October, the Patriots have hit a rough patch, winning just once in their past six matches.

SBI No. 20 Virginia traveled to Clemson and dropped a 2-1 decision. Tigers midfielder Manolo Sanchez buried a rebound in the 37th minute to open the scoring, and Sanchez also assisted the second goal in the 68th minute, setting up forward Austen Burnikel.
