Two SBI Top 10 matchups headline this week’s college soccer action, as No. 2 UCLA hosts No. 5 Stanford Thursday and No. 8 Marquette visits No. 7 Creighton Wednesday.

The Bruins have won four straight after their 2-1 victory over Oregon State Sunday. They sit atop the Pac-12 table and will want to remain there.

The Cardinal played UCLA to a 1-1 draw in their first meeting, but they will have a tougher task trying to stop Bruins star Leo Stolz and second-consecutive Pac-12 Player of the Week Seyi Adekoya from winning their fourth straight home match.

The Blue Jays suffered a disappointing 1-0 home loss against No. 15 Georgetown Saturday, but will have a chance to redeem themselves when they host the Golden Eagles.   Marquette have had no problem defending, as they have only conceded seven goals all year, but they have struggled to find the net themselves, which has led to their four-game winless streak.

Meanwhile, No. 5 Notre Dame will host No. 18 Michigan State Wednesday in a matchup of the first-placed ACC side and the third-placed Big Ten side. The Spartans are winless in their last two matches, but they have shown their ability to take down top teams, after defeating Penn State 10 days ago.

  1. Re: Stanford vs. UCLA. Stanford will have US MNT player, Jordan Morris, this time around, who was missing the first time around. Should be a very interesting match.
