Sergio Aguero has had plenty of impressive performances for Manchester City before, but his virtuoso effort in Saturday’s 4-1 drubbing of Tottenham may just have been his best ever.
The Argentine striker notched four goals, and could probably have scored eight, in helping lead the defending English Premier League champions to an easy victory against Spurs. The performance made Aguero the easy pick for this week’s SBI World Player of the Week honors.
Aguero converted a pair of penalty kicks, while missing another, and added a pair of outstanding goals in the run of play to lead the rout.
Aguero beat out Napoli’s Jose Callejon, Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, PSV’s Adam Maher and Bayer Leverkusen’s Son Heung-Min for this week’s honors.
What did you think of Aguero’s performance against Tottenham? Which player impressed you the most this past weekend?

Is this a new feature? If so, I like it.
Aguero, when healthy, is among the best strikers in the world. Just image if he had the size of Dzeko or Zlatan, he might be the best #9 in the world.
Congrats Kun.
