The SBI Show: Episode 171 (Previewing USA-Honduras, recapping MLS Week 32, and more)

Clint Dempsey of USA

The transition from the Landon Donovan era to the next U.S. Men’s National Team’s next era took place over the past week, with Donovan bidding farewell and new faces stepping in to try and take his place.

In Episode 171 of The SBI Show, we take a look back at the U.S. 1-1 tie with Ecuador, as well as Donovan’s national team farewell. We also look ahead to tonight’s friendly against Honduras, which will feature a handful of World Cup veterans who have arrived in camp.

Co-host Garrett Cleverly and I also discuss MLS Week 32, and some dramatic results, including Vancouver’s win against Seattle, Columbus’ comeback victory against Philadelphia, and more.

  1. My feedback: I wish these things were like 20-30 minutes long. There is no way I can spend 60-90 minutes listening to the show

  2. Solid show, guys.

My two cents, it seems that drowning would take longer to die over lava and acid, but the pain factor wouldn’t be as severe. All of them are clearly garbage…

  3. Been a fan for a while and loyal reader, but I have to say that Ives sounds conceited sometimes I’m these things. Comes off sort of as a prick.

  4. The content is very good, but Ives really needs to stop eating during the podcasts. It is not pleasant hearing someone speak with their mouth full. Seems to be a weekly occurance.
