After missing out on both the 2013 Confederations Cup and the 2014 World Cup, Kaka is back with the Selecao.

The Orlando City midfielder, who is currently on loan with Brazilian side Sao Paulo FC, has been called up to the Brazilian National Team by new manager Dunga as an injury replacement for midfielder Ricardo Goulart, the younger brother of LA Galaxy midfielder Juninho.

The 32-year former World Player of the Year will join his teammates for a pair of Asian-based friendlies, as Brazil take on rivals Argentina Oct. 11 in Beijing, China before facing Japan on Oct. 14 in Singapore.

The call up will mark the Kaka’s first selection since March 2013, when then-manager Luiz Felipe Scolari brought in the former Real Madrid star for friendlies against Italy and Russia.

Kaka, who signed on as Orlando City’s first player back in June, has scored one goal in thirteen games while on loan with Sao Paulo.

What do you think of Kaka’s call up? Excited to see him play for Brazil again?
