If you are an aspiring soccer writer looking for a place to showcase your abilities and improve as a writer, SBI could be the place for you.

We are on the hunt for writers to cover everything from college soccer to NASL, MLS and international soccer and candidates with prior writing experience, such as college newspaper work or writing for independent websites.

SBI has helped launch and/or boost the writing careers of several SBI alumni currently working throughout the soccer writing industry.

  1. I will write for you Ives, but here are my demands:

    1. We change the website to reflect on Game of Thrones
    2. Americans abroad will include Ben Lederman and his preteen adventures around Barcelona
    3. We move offices to my parent’s basement so that I don’t have to drive anywhere
    4. No sex in the champagne room
    5. Any FIFA 15 copy has to have my High School Varsity soccer picture posted in front of Demspey’s
    6. We prank call Donovan at least twice a week saying he’s been called up for our next game
    7. Casual Fridays

  2. Do you need anyone to do something similar to “Answer Man” from Yahoo Sports? It’s a Q&A but involves a wide range of topics like pop-culture, best dressed teammate, worst guy to room with on the road, etc. I could do that.

  3. Hope you get some more NASL writers, maybe some to cover fan culture developing in NPSL as well. Balance including non-conformist views has been getting better. Hope it continues.

  4. I’m not a journalist but I did stay in a Holiday Inn one time. With that said, I’d like to see more diversity in stories from current/new SBI staff instead of the same troll-bait Donovan or JK stories that are nearly identical and posted 4 x a day.

  5. Here is a sample of my work, let me know how many hits I get in my job offer:

    Pro/Rel is a dumb idea
