Seven teams are vying for the final three spots in the Liga MX playoffs as the Apertura regular season comes down to its final weekend.

Ronaldinho’s Queretaro, Santos Laguna, Cruz Azul, and Pumas UNAM all currently sit on the outside looking in while Chiapas, Club Leon, and Pachuca all try and keep their positions to qualify for the Liguilla. Heading into the season’s final weekend, Queretaro visit sixth-place Chiapas in a must-win match for Los Gallos Blancos.

Pumas have an equally tough challenge ahead when they host Monterrey and star forward Dorlan Pabon, who scored his 11th goal last weekend in a 1-0 victory over Chivas de Guadalajara.

Santos Laguna and Cruz Azul each have easier tasks this weekend, though by no means are their games against Puebla and Universidad de Guadalajara respectively any easier. Both games are on the road.

Club Tijuana close out their second-straight Apertura outside of the playoffs as mid-season hire Daniel Guzman was unable to put them into playoff contention.
