The New England Revolution are a step away from playing in their first MLS Cup since 2007, but first they most vanquish the New York Red Bulls in today’s MLS Eastern Conference second leg (3pm, NBC Sports).

The Revs enter with a 2-1 edge after beating the Red Bulls at Red Bull Arena. The Red Bulls have their hands full today, playing without suspended MLS Golden Boot winner Bradley Wright-Phillips.

Tim Cahill is in the starting lineup for Wright-Phillips and will need to have his best game of the season to give the Red Bulls hope of pulling off the upset today.

  1. Great game. Intense from start to finish and with enough controversy to make it exciting. May have been the best Eastern conference final ever.

    • Seriously, how is this not being discussed? He scored with his hand! But mls wouldn’t want such controversy to stall their revolution.

  2. I’m westcoast so I don’t get to see NE play that often. Jones seems to fit right in and is involved in everything. Glad to see Davies doing well and getting the goal. Should be a good second half.

What a difference he could have been for us in South Africa…
