Send him a t-shirt?? Okay, it’s clear now, the only reason I listen to this podcast is because I love being slapped in the face.
Happy Holidays, SBI!
Thanks for the show guys, and have a great Christmas!
I just listened to Ives rant on the 182 episode, wow either he hates Orlando or is in love with NYFC.
Orlando

Looks really good so far with the ability to add in the transfer window and through the draft.
Another great show, I would give you guys guff for the time between the shows but it sounds like you’re getting it from every which way…
Glad that Ives is as confident as I am about Hedges getting that January call up. Any chance Acosta or Loyd get the same nod or did they not do enough? I don’t really think Kellyn did enough based on his club season, but his consistent performances for club and country and previous captaincy of US youth teams I think is going to keep him on Klinsy’s radar. Loyd I think did enough throughout the season to be considered as a utility defender, but that also works against him in that he did well in many spots rather than excelling in just one.
Acosta needs some size and game time. Just age basically. He is clearly a good player but I don’t think Acosta is anywhere near ready for the senior team. He is fine with u20s.
Loyd is…a very very good player but maybe he lacks an element of flair. I dunno. I feel Klinsmann wants fast attacking fullbacks which Loyd really isn’t. Loyd is great but nothing really stand out about the man although he has excellent hair.
I can’t remember exactly what the stat was called, but Loyd’s got the lungs and stamina of a Kenyan marathon runner…they did some study when the miCoach thing first came out and his stamina quotient was off the charts. He doesn’t have the super acceleration ability that distinguishes most speedsters from the merely quick, but when he’s going at full clip he’s surprisingly fast. With the chances that were given to some of the others in defense that haven’t worked out (Castillo, Orozco, etc.), he should at least get a look in my opinion.
Loyd has 3 caps all gained, I believe, under BB.
Is he the best left or right back in MLS?
Is he the best utility defender in MLS?
If the answer to that is no then why should he get called up?
Is he better or more versatile than Cameron,Garza or Fabian all of whom can play different positions in defense or in midfield?..
Too long between shows! Garrett, start taking some St. John’s Wort and stop popping all those bottles!
Ives, dude… where’s the SBI Show mix tape? lol
Wow! Another ALC heater. One of the top five producers, and easily the most slept on producers around. Peep that Albert Einstein he did with Prodigy, or even the Stepmasters joint with Evidence as proof.
