Manchester United have a shot at moving into the top three for the first time since Sir Alex Ferguson was in charge of the legendary club.

Standing in their way though is Southampton, who have built up a strong first half of the season despite dropping two consecutive games. A win for either side (NBC Sports Network) would move them into the top three in the standings, ahead of West Ham United and behind Manchester City and first-place Chelsea, who have a sizable lead ahead of the pack.

Robin Van Persie put Man United ahead in the 12th minute but Graziano Pelle scored his seventh goal off the season to tie the match.

Elsewhere, 14th-placed Hellas Verona take on sixth-placed Sampdoria in Serie A action (beIN Sports USA). Mexican centerback Rafa Marquez has already received his marching orders and former Bayern Munich star Luca Toni has scored for Verona, and Eder has scored for Sinisa Mihajlović’s side.
