Joe Corona had a memorable return to action for Club Tijuana on Wednesday evening.
Corona scored the opening goal of a 3-1 victory over Club Necaxa in the Copa MX at Estadio Caliente. Corona was joined on the scoresheet for Xolos by fellow American Alejandro Guido and Mexican youngster Henry Martin.
The goal and start for Corona was his first since last October, prior to suffering a broken foot during a 2-1 victory over Ronaldinho and Queretaro. Corona’s goal is his second of the season, after scoring in the Apertura edition of the Copa MX. Corona played the full 90 minutes of the match as well.
The win for Xolos was their first of the Clausura Copa MX. Xolos next visit Tigres UANL on Saturday in Liga MX action.

What do you think of this news? Glad to see that Corona is back in the lineup and scoring?

Viva Mexico!
The only thing that make that jersey better is if Bimbo Bread was the third sponsor instead of Comex. That way, it would read ‘Boing!’, ‘Caliente’, and ‘Bimbo.’
So if you had to ask which two among Joe Corona, Alejandro Guido, and Henry Martin are American, and which one is Mexican, I think a lot of people might need a few guesses
What’s Guido’s position?
good to see!
Good for him, does anyone know what position he was playing
Not sure about Corona but Guido is played as an attacking midfielder. He’d be an interesting prospect for the Olympic qualifying team, etc.
