Radamel Falcao has had his fair share of struggles at Old Trafford, but Monaco might just be willing to welcome the forward back with open arms.
The Manchester United striker, who is currently on loan from the Ligue 1 club, has scored only four times this season. It is becoming increasingly unlikely Manchester United opt to excersise their right to purchase the Colombian, prompting Monaco vice president Vadim Vasilyev to admit that the club could welcome Falcao back.
“Never say never — we’re awaiting a decision from Manchester on Falcao,” Vasilyev said. “He wanted to leave, he wanted a challenge. With Manchester he had a challenge, because Manchester United are a bigger club than us.
“I’m not worried about Falcao. He’s a great striker with great qualities and mentality. We’re waiting for a decision from Manchester United. We’re not going to start talks. The only thing I can promise is that the team will be competitive and will challenge for a top-three finish next year.”

SIMEONE OPENS EXTENSION TALKS WITH ATLETICO
Atletico Madrid manager Diego Simeone has long been one of the most coveted coaching hires in Europe, but it seems that the Argentinian has no plans on departing any time soon.
Simeone, whose Atleti side topped Almeria, 3-0, Saturday, says that he has opened contract negotiations with the reigning La Liga champions. Simeone’s current deal extends until 2017.
“It’s clear that I’m very happy with the club, that I love Atletico Madrid,” Simeone said at a press conference following Saturday’s victory. “We are trying to continue this project started three years ago and we are evaluating the two parties with the same enthusiasm and the same inclination.”
TOURE LOOKING TO FINISH PLAYING CAREER AT CITY; BECOME SPORTING DIRECTOR
Yaya Toure already has is future, both on and off the field, completely mapped out.
When it comes to his playing career, Toure’s agent, Dimitri Seluk, says that the midfielder has plans to retire as a member of Manchester City before taking the reigns as a member of the club’s front office.
“Yaya loves Manchester City and, despite what is sometimes said, he is happy at the club,” Seluk said. “In fact, he would like to stay for life. He would love nothing better than to finish his playing career with City and then work for the club after that.
“That’s why I want City to give Yaya a new contract, to show him that they want him to be part of the future. It is not about money. It is about keeping Yaya at the club until his playing days are over and showing the club’s best player that he is respected and loved.”

Dammit, if only an MLS team would splash the cash and sign Falcao.
Someday
Frankly, Yaya Toure’s agent sounds like a complete jack@$$. Granted, he is making a whole lot more money than I am.
As good of a player as Toure is, his agent is often in the news more than his client. So, yea. Your assessment is accurate.
