Following Tuesday and Wednesday’s Champions League action, the Europa League returns Thursday with the first leg of the knockout stage.

After advancing from Group G, the defending champions, Sevilla, are set to square off against German side Borussia Monchengladbach at home, while Tottenham Hotspur will welcome Serie A’s Fiorentina at White Hart Lane.

Salzburg, which has the most goals in the competition so far at 21, travels to Estadio El Madrigal to face La Liga’s Villarreal, and Liverpool will play hosts to Turkish side Besiktas.

Others on the ledger include Everton, Napoli, Roma and Inter Milan, while CONMEBOL’s Copa Libertadores is also in action.
