The UEFA Champions League Round of 16 kicks off today with a juicy matchup featuring French champions Paris St. Germain against English Premier League leaders Chelsea (2:45pm, FOX Sports 1).

Chelsea won this same matchup in last year’s knockout rounds, and will be favored to do so again, though PSG has the firepower to make things interesting. Zlatan Ibrahimovic is still searching for his first UEFA Champions League title, and will do his best to try and help PSG pull off the slight upset.

In Ukraine, Shakhtar Donetsk will look to shake off the tough situation its home city is in when it takes on German champions Bayern Munich in Lviv, Ukraine (2:45pm, FOX Sports 2). ¬†Bayern will be heavily favored to win against a Shakhtar team that hasn’t played since December due to the Ukraine-Russia military conflict.

SBI will be providing live commentary on today’s match so please feel free to follow along here. As always, you are welcome to share your own thoughts and opinions in the comments section below.

      • really? i wasn’t being sarcastic–he’s one of my favorite players, simply because he plays the game like–well, like it’s a game, and not a trillion-dollar industry.

so i can see why people wouldn’t want him on their team, especially as a cb, but as a neutral, i love watching him.
