  1. Ives, Garrett, Frank and team,…thanks for the great work. Enjoyed the SBI Show previews and all of the written work as well. Frank,…congrats for 6 years at SBI!

While I am a little down about the lack of positive energy around my local club (NYRB),….this is looking like it will be some season for MLS.

First,…hoping that Montreal can break through in the CCL! That would be great for the league.

Second,…looking forward to LA, Seattle, New England and Columbus. I just wish the league format placed greater emphasis on the regular season. The playoff set-up takes the edge of of regular season matches,…..when will the league office get their heads around this.

Third,…I have noticed that across most of the main sites/sources (ESPN, SI, SBI) things are quiet as far as Jozy is concerned. Hope he exceeds expectations,….but it appears expectations are subdued.

    • Totally agree, I’m stoked for the season, I am purchasing the league package this year for the first time.

The league winner should be MLS Champion. Then, after the season is over, there should be a post-season tournament that the top half of regular season teams are invited to, and the winner of that tournament can win the MLS cup. Two separate accomplishments. MLS Champion is a much greater feat IMO.

Good post, this is an exciting time for US soccer fans. We need more positivity.
