Real Madrid may be in crisis mode due to some recent struggles in La Liga, but Carlo Ancelotti’s side will still be expected to take care of business today in UEFA Champions League Round of 16 action against Schalke (3:45pm, Fox Sports 1).
Real Madrid enter in full control of the two-leg series after posting an impressive 3-1 first-leg victory in Germany. Cristiano Ronaldo’s side is winless in two straight La Liga matches, which has sparked talk of a crisis at the Bernabeu, but Real Madrid will be expected to cruise in Madrid.
The day’s other Round of 16 second leg features FC Porto taking on Basel in what should be a thriller (3:45pm, Fox Sports 2). Porto grabbed a vital away goal in the first leg in Switzerland, but Basel has the quality to push the Portuguese powerhouse.

And the white hankies of disapproval are out at the Bernabeu…
And the Madrid fans boo the sheat out of the team in their way out.
Madrid sweating like a pig in a southern family reunion.
Fuera Ancelotti.
One Golazo after another for Porto.
Whatever he once was, Casillas is atrocious these days. Any decent MLS goalie would have a clean sheet right now in Madrid’s goal.
No they wouldn’t. No goalie from the Mickey Mouse League can hang in Spain at all.
At the moment, Madrid will be very lucky to survive this game. They are no-nonsense terrible at the back.
