The Jesse Marsch era at Red Bull Arena begins today as the New York Red Bulls newest coach takes his first step at trying to win over his team’s fans when the Red Bulls take on D.C. United (5pm, ESPN).

The Red Bulls come in off a week one tie at Sporting Kansas City, and will take on a D.C. United side that started 2015 with a home victory against Montreal. D.C. United will be looking to exact some revenge after being eliminated from the 2014 MLS playoffs by the Red Bulls.

The day’s other MLS action features the debut of the league’s newest stadium as the San Jose Earthquakes open Avaya Stadium with a clash against the winless Chicago Fire.
