The Fort Lauderdale Strikers are red hot in attack to start the 2015 Spring Season, and Saturday, it was Jose Angulo’s turn to shine.
The Florida side has scored two goals or more in their last three games, and against Ottawa Fury FC in Week 4, Angulo was the one to help his team keep pace with that statistic and earn recognition as SBI NASL Player of the Week.
The 27-year-old forward tapped in the first goal of the afternoon and scored a beautiful right-footed curler from well outside the box to claim his his second of the day, which ended up being the game-winner as well.
The Colombia-born striker is used to scoring goals, as he was named 2013 USL Pro MVP for being the joint leading goalscorer with now Sporting KC forward Dom Dyer.
Angulo beat out Tampa Bay Rowdies forward Maicon Santos and Atlanta Silverbacks goalkeeper Steward Ceus for this week’s honors.
What did you think of Angulo’s performance? Which player stood out to you in Week 4?

Me parece que el mejor jugador de la Semana es José Ángulo por su excelente desempeño
Anyone else think it said Juan Agudelo at first?
