Aaron Ramsey of Arsenal celebrates scoring his goal to make the score 2-1 with team mates

By AARON CRANFORD

With only a few matches left in the EPL season, Arsenal and Liverpool meet in an important one that will ultimately determine who sits in the top four by season’s end.

In Germany, Borussia Dortmund hosts league leaders Bayern Munich. The leaders sit comfortably at the top of the table, 10 points ahead of second place Wolfsburg. BVB sit a staggering 31 points below Bayern, so although the game may not mean as much as in year’s past, BVB supporters would surely like to see their side steal a win against their foes.

Many games in Week 5 of MLS kick off, and the Vancouver Whitecaps host the Los Angeles Galaxy in the day’s most intriguing affair. Whitecaps forward Octavio Rivero, who has scored two game-winning goals this campaign, will look to grab another as Keane and Zardes both return to the fold after international call-ups kept them away from Week 4.

Meanwhile, the U.S. Women’s National Team is set to welcome New Zealand in Saint Louis. With the World Cup in the summer, each friendly leading up to the main event will have more and more meaning and value.

  1. Watching the replay of Arsenal-Liverpool. Coquelin has been spectacular for Arsenal since he’s been starting for them, huge upgrade over Flamini.

  2. i just lost tons of respect for Drogba. you’re winning in stoppage time and you go kick the ball away from the gk on a goal kickā€¦. those are the twerps on the pick up field that get beat up. lol

    • It’s absurd that a ref will book a player for time wasting but not add any extra time afterwards. Players will take their yellow cards if it runs the clock out for the win. Honestly, they should just stop the clock when the ball isn’t in play like every other major sport. It would make so many frustrating time wasting tactics obsolete.

      • i woulda given him a red card just to make a point. the sport should be played proper. i understand taking your time to take a throw in when you’re up or something but the GK is about to kick his goal kick and you just run up and kick the ball out of bounds? Bush League…

  3. Dortmund fans throwing Bananas but its at Neuer. Soooo okay I guess. Apparently a tradition from throwing them a Kahn? Makes sense Oli Kahn was basically a gorilla….

  4. Since I provide two links to a gfycat that weren’t allowed by the moderators, please do yourself a favor and look up Tim Howard’s saves today.

They were nothing short of the old Timmy…incredible.

      • Haha although you can”t say Muller isn’t. Every time people talk about Muller getting transfer I can’t think of where he would go. He doesn’t have skills that bring make teams like PSG or Chelsea want him.
Not fast. Can’t really Dribble. Passing Good but not great.
Lucky or great first touch but I can’t tell which.

The man just runs, scores goals and wins.

I would love to see him at Real Madrid just for the bizarre fact that he would be a huge success while having zero flash. So basically the opposite of a Glalactico.

  5. How did Alonso not get a yellow for that? I mean it wasn’t dangerous but pulling someone back like that tends to be a yellow…

  6. cameron starting at right back for stoke against chelsea. guess i’ll pretend to keep an eye on that one while i’m really watching dortmund-bayern.

    • Bayern seem to be looking for balls over the top to Muller and Lewandowski…
Some of it is for Hold up so the rest of the team can move up but…
Bayern have a 5 man back line when Dortmund has the ball sometimes.

      • haven’t watched a lot of bayern this year. i’m assuming this is not their usual m.o.? guess having both ribery and robben out affects quite a bit.

      • Pretty much. Not having Robben is a big change.

This looks like width from wingbacks? Bernat does do a lot of attacking even with Robben around though.

  7. Very defensive lineup for Bayern…. I guess they plan to hit Dortmund on transitions.

Or just sit on the ball and do nothing because its Guardiola…
