Barcelona faces its toughest test since taking top spot in the Primera Division on a road trip to Sevilla.

A four-point gap between the league leaders and El Clasico rivals Real Madrid has been maintained in the weeks following their clash. That breathing room is on the line as Sevilla has an important agenda of its own.

After a draw in the middle of the week, Valencia sits one point ahead of Los Rojiblancos in the fourth and final UEFA Champions League spot. Victory is crucial for Sevilla to keep pace, and anything similar to the 5-1 thrashing they suffered to Barcelona earlier this season could prove devastating.

Everton has sights set on a third straight win in the English Premier League, but it won’t come easy against a Swansea side looking to achieve the same feat. Relegation-threatened Burnley host second-place Arsenal in the later game.

After last weekend’s dramatic win against Marseille, top of the table Paris Saint-Germain is looking to run with its momentum in the Coupe de la Ligue Final against Bastia. Cup holders PSG will attempt to win it for the fifth time.

  1. I’m not going to argue that Julian Green even deserves a chance but Hamburger have now scored 2 goals in there last 8 matches. Now 5 in a row without one. I honestly still don’t know how good he is or isn’t but did Hamburger not scout him at all before taking him on loan? Trying to grind out 0-0 draws isn’t working any more either with just 2 draws in the last 8 matches..

  2. Nice win for Moenchengladbach as they stay in Champions league spot. At 12 points ahead of Schalke 04, I don’t see them doing any worse then 4th and a qualification round spot.

  3. I thought Yedlin acquitted himself pretty well. He made a good pass to set up a good scoring opportunity, stopped Benteke on a shoulder to shoulder challenge and didn’t make any mistakes that I saw. Shocking how poorly Lamela played the last dozen or so minutes. And Spurs paid something like 12 million pounds for the guy. He and Salgado seem to have been wasted buys for a lot of money.

    • Yeah Jozy got hammered for how he played but Soldado has been worse in many ways. He certain cost about 4 times as much. Lamela is better than worthless but still poor.

  4. OMG, Yedlin making debut. I’m very nervous about this for some reason; just doesn’t seem like he has the defensive acumen to handle EPL yet. Knocking on wood and wishing for the best. Would love to see another Yank outfield player getting consistent minutes in the league again.
