Wednesday’s action presents a series of midweek games featuring both league, domestic cup and continental action.
Headlining Wednesday’s schedule is the FA Cup, as Liverpool take on Blackburn Rovers in the replay of their quarterfinal matchup. In other domestic cup action, Bayern Munich takes on Bayer Leverkusen in the DFB Pokal, Napoli takes on Lazio in the Coppa Italia and Paris-Saint Germain faces Saint-Etienne in the Coupe de France.
In league action, Real Madrid and Barcelona are both in action in La Liga, taking on Rayo Vallecano and Almeria, respectively.
Elsewhere, Wednesday evening presents both Copa Libertadores and CONCACAF Champions League action, while MLS also features a midweek contest between the Vancouver Whitecaps and Columbus Crew.

man, when VAN are firing on all cylinders they are fun to watch. this game they look energetic and quick on offense (perhaps like their other games, i haven’t watched them before tonight).

Surprised that Gladbach doesn’t get mentioned in the body, with them almost sure to be in the Champions League next year, I wonder whether we could see another American in the Champions League group stage.

i saw a stat somewhere that they are undefeated when FJ starts. perhaps a meaningless stat but quasi-interesting nonetheless. lol
