Returning to the friendly confines of TD Place, Ottawa Fury FC gave Minnesota United, the heavy favorites on paper entering the match, all it could handle for their first win of 2015.
A handful of players made the weekend’s affair a memorable one for the Canadian side. Julian de Guzman, who sat out of Week Two serving a red card suspension, was back into the fold, helping Marc Dos Santos’ men prevent the dynamic Minnesota United forwards and midfielders from creating anything worthwhile on the day.
Meanwhile, Tom Heinemann and Paulo Junior combined well all game, with the former scoring the decisive goal in the 68th minute and helping Ottawa Fury FC earn recognition as SBI NASL Team of the Week.
Fury FC narrowly beat out the New York Cosmos and Indy Eleven for this week’s honors.

I do!
does anyone actually care about nasl?
Yes. At least about 50k-60k fans a week at the minimum.
The several hundred employees of the franchises combined and event staff care about it too.
