Chelsea can take another big step toward the English Premier League title while hosting Manchester United on Saturday.

Also with second place Arsenal left to play, the Blues face a few more hoops to jump through in order to secure the club’s fourth Premier League title. A win against Manchester United, which has won six straight league contests, would further cement Chelsea’s position at the top.

The FA Cup semifinals also take place this weekend at Wembley Stadium, with Americans taking part in each match. Danny Williams and Reading meet Arsenal on Saturday, before Brad Guzan and Aston Villa take on Liverpool on Sunday.

Barcelona will try to make amends for a disappointing draw last weekend at home against fourth-place Valencia. Saturday’s slip-up against Sevilla handed Real Madrid a way back in the La Liga title race as Los Blancos, who plays Malaga on Saturday, are now just two points out of first place.

Chivas de Guadalajara and Tijuana meet on Friday night in a clash of top teams in Liga MX. Chivas has won five of their last six games in all competitions, while Tijuana has to bounce back from a surprise loss to Queretaro last week.

Finally, the Philadelphia Union and New York City FC have a quick turnaround after their Thursday night match. The Union have a home game against New England Revolution to start Soccer Sunday, while NYCFC hosts the Portland Timbers.

  1. The Union on national television again? Are they trying to get rid of their obligation to show X number of games early, before they are out of the playoff picture?
