With both sides emerging as contenders in either conference, Saturday’s clash between D.C. United and the Vancouver Whitecaps is one that will allow either side to make a true statement.
The matchup at BC Place headline’s Saturday’s MLS action, as the Western Conference-leading Whitecaps take on D.C, who currently sit second out east.
Kicking off the day’s festivities will be the Columbus Crew and the Philadelphia Union, as the former looks to build off last week’s thrashing of Orlando City.
Also on the docket is a matchup between the New England Revolution and Real Salt Lake, while Western Conference newcomers Sporting KC take on the Houston Dynamo at BBVA Compass Stadium.

Wow, What a strike from Benny. Been some nice attacking going on with 17 goals over 3 matches, so far tonight.
Now 2 in this one in the first 10 minutes, something must be in the air
Bennys and Castillos footwork to set up the lone FCD goal are the best highlights thus far.
Revs attack was clicking tonight. Davies, bunbury, and agudelo are a handful. Nguyen pulling the strings. Still able to bring fagundez and Rowe off the bench… Fun team to watch.
He may never suit up for the national team again but it sure is good to see CD9 scoring again.
Revs could be winning 5 or 6 nothing easy
Home sides dominating these 2 matches. Ibarra keeps getting national team looks but not Finlay?
