One semifinal spot remains in the Copa America, with Brazil and Paraguay set to square off this afternoon.

Minus Neymar, Brazil will try to exact revenge against Paraguay, the team that knocked them out of the tournament four years ago at this same stage. The prize for today’s winner is a potentially exciting clash with Argentina on Tuesday.

The quarterfinal stage is also coming to a close in the Women’s World Cup. Australia will try to make it two shocks in a row against defending champion Japan. Later, England faces host nation Canada to contest the final spot in the semifinal round that starts Tuesday.

Fresh from disappointment in the Copa America, Mexico begins building toward the Gold Cup with a friendly against Costa Rica. The Ticos are in Group B of CONCACAF’s premier international tournament, while Mexico is in Group C.

With four wins from the last five league games, Toronto FC takes aim at the top of the Eastern Conference in its match against D.C. United. The second place team in the East, New England Revolution, hosts the West’s second place team, Vancouver Whitecaps, in a full evening of MLS action.
