International soccer actions take center stage Tuesday as the U.S. Women’s National Team wrap up the group stage of the Women’s World Cup tonight in Vancouver in a matchup with Nigeria. Defending champion Japan — which had already secured an advancement after two wins — will also take the pitch against Ecuador.
Also featured tonight will be a couple of Copa America matches, highlighted by a showdown between Argentina and Uruguay, as well as a clash between Paraguay and Jamaica.
Until all of the above mentioned matches begin, however, an international friendly between Italy-Portugal will headline the afternoon’s action to get fans ready for a loaded evening lineup.
If you will be watching today’s action, feel free to leave your thoughts, opinions and some play-by-play in the comments section below.

Yeah, crazy finish to Timbers v Sounders game! Never seen a game finish 11 v 7.
Is anyone watching Seattle vs Portland game?
I love these listings that you publish, but with all of the international competitions occurring, its getting hard to keep track of the matches. Can you also add what the competition is like Copa America, Women’s World Cup, Euro Qualifier, etc?
Not to mention all the WC qualifiers today… even in CONCACAF!
I know I should root for the US in all things, but part of me wants this bunch to go out.
I just do not like the way they’ve played or carried themselves this time around. I see an incoherent coaching strategy, I see a bunch of me-first, selfish girls all trying to be the star, I see a lack of unity and purpose.
Truthfully, Hope Solo, Julie Johnston, and Allie Krieger and the rest of the D are the only reason this team’s still in the tournament. Without Hope Solo making some crazy saves only she could make, we probably would have lost to Australia on the opening day and would have likely already been out.
They look more than a bit like the England men’s side in the last World Cup, or Italy for the last two. And I suspect our girls might get punished for it – and probably should be.
They are not the best team in the tournament. They are not nice to watch. They have a great defense, but going forward they are not very creative. All the creation comes from Rapinoe’s side. Frankly, Wambach should be sitting (she was a great player in her prime, but she is not longer there).
I would like them to go 4-3-3.
– Leroux-Morgan-Press
– Rapinoe – Holiday- Heath
– Same back 4
– Solo
Heath/Rapinoe create from the Wings. Holiday to control the center in more of her natural box to box position. Forwards who dribble at or stretch defenders.
Agree with this assessment.
saw a crazy stat today about 5 of last 13 games the USWNT has been shut out. Prior to that something like 5 in last 176 games. That’s too impressive of a stat to be ignored.
The combo of Holiday and Lloyd needs to change. They are duplicative and neither can force the attack
Nicely cupped, Syd.
She is trying to fit in with the Rapinoe, Wambach crew… I admire her um “spirit”
Grow up dude
