A New York midfielder will be a part of next week’s MLS All-Star Game, but it won’t be Frank Lampard.

MLS announced on Saturday that New York Red Bulls captain Dax McCarty has replaced Lampard on the All-Star roster due to the latter’s ongoing injury issues.

McCarty, who will make his first All-Star appearance of his 10-year career, has started eighteen games this season, providing five assists. Lampard, meanwhile, has yet to make an appearance for New York City FC and is currently recovering from a calf strain.

The MLS All-Stars are set to take on English Premier League club Tottenham on July 29 (9 p.m., FOX Sports 1, UniMás) at Dick’s Sporting Goods Park.

Check out the updated 22-man roster below:

GOALKEEPER: Nick Rimando (Real Salt Lake), David Ousted (Vancouver Whitecaps).

DEFENDERS: Matt Besler (Sporting KC), Omar Gonzalez (LA Galaxy), DeMarcus Beasley (Houston Dynamo), Chris Tierney (New England Revolution), Laurent Ciman (Montreal Impact), Chad Marshall (Seattle Sounders), Drew Moor (Colorado Rapids), Tony Beltran (Real Salt Lake).
