Hopefully Montreal plays in LA so I can go to this game. I don’t care how old Drogba is, he’s an amazing player and an even more amazing guy off the field. Hopefully he stays healthy and ****s on the league and retires with a great season under his belt
I thought these things only happened in Turkey :)
Would have made so much more sense for him and everyone involved if it happened 3 years ago. He is almost an afterthought when someone puts together a list of players who joined this year.
idk, i think he still has quite a bit to offer. But yes, since 2012 he has been in China, Turkey and back to London .. if only MLS got him over here before he turned 37!

That says more about the caliber and reputation of the players who joined this year than it does about Drogba. Kaka, Pirlo, Villa, Dos Santos, Gerrard, Giovinco, Lampard, among others.
I absolutely love the game. Admire players amazing skills. Love a good party. But…. grownass adults in a flailing school-girl frantic mob scene to touch a man’s hand or get a scribble on a piece of paper… I don’t get it. Idol worship kinda scares me.
Classy dude and player- look forward to seeing him play, hope he’s got enough in the tank to represent well.
+1 on the hero worship thing. And I couldn’t help thinking how much that would freak me the f out if I had to smile and be nice to a cheering mob. I think I would rush past and be labeled an arrogant a-hole. Luckily my chances of celebrity are next to nil and shrinking.

They’re stoked that such a prolific soccer player and humanitarian is going to play for their team. There is a large population in Montreal of Ivory Coast refugees and citizens and I would imagine those were the people losing their minds. Don’t call it idol worshipping and try to make this video somehow a negative thing just for attention.
When a guy with his resume on and off the field signs for your team, I hope you stick to your guns and don’t get excited about it because that would make you a hypocrite, something the internet trolls are well versed at.

The scenes in the middle where he is standing right by the barrier and grown men are losing their **** for him to shake their hand is fantastic.
