The chase for the NCAA title begins today all across the country, and the start of the college soccer season also signals the beginning of a process that will lead several college players to the pros.
An exodus of top talent from last season has seen the college game lose such standouts as Cyle Larin, Cristian Roldan, Fatai Alashe, Jay Chapman, and Zack Steffen, but a new generation of talented players will step up to fill the void and become the next targets for professional scouts.
Jordan Morris, Joshua Yaro and Abu Danladi are widely regarded as the most talented prospects in the college game, and SBI’s college preview features interviews with all three players discussing their bright futures and goals for 2015.
SBI will be providing regular coverage of the college game, and also keeping you up to date on the top pro prospects in the college ranks that you need to be keeping an eye on. Today is our day to drop a series of team previews and player profiles to help introduce you to the 2015 college season, as it kicks off today.

PLAYER PROFILES
Georgetown defender Joshua Yaro. Widely regarded as the favorite to go No. 1 overall in the 2016 MLS Draft, Yaro will look to help Georgetown win its first NCAA title.
Stanford forward Jordan Morris. After emerging as a U.S. Men’s National Team prospect, Morris is now trying to juggle expectations, distractions and his role as the top player on a strong Stanford side.
UCLA forward Abu Danladi. The dynamic young striker might just be more dangerous than Morris, is highly-coveted by scouts in MLS and abroad, and will be key to UCLA’s NCAA title hopes.
Maryland midfielder Mael Corboz. The senior midfielder will guide a young Terps squad while also hoping to boost his draft stock.
North Carolina defender Jonathan Campbell. The left-footed central defender is one of the most highly-rated seniors in the country, and one of the smartest pro prospects in the bunch.
Virginia midfielder Todd Wharton. After an impressive summer with the Portland Timbers U-23s, Wharton is generating buzz among pro scouts who will watch to see if he can help UVA repeat as NCAA champions.
