Javier ‘Chicharito’ Hernandez has had many offers for his services this summer, but the latest proposal was pulled Monday due to the striker asking for too much.

After reportedly refusing a move to Orlando City during the MLS transfer window, ‘Chicharito’ has been in talks with English Premier League side West Ham, but those talks have ceased because the Mexican international demands too much, according to the club.

The Daily Mirror reported that ‘Chicharito’ wants approximately $154,000 per week with an additional $139,000 being paid for every goal scored. West Ham deemed his demands “ludicrous” and have halted its pursuit of the Manchester United forward.

Current UEFA Champions League contender Bayer Leverkusen has now entered the fray as the next possible destination for ‘Chicharito,’ with the Bundesliga club offering a $13.9 million transfer fee for the striker, according to Sky Sports.

KEVIN DE BRUYNE MOVES TO MANCHESTER CITY

Current EPL leader and English giant Manchester City only became more of a threat Sunday.

Manchester City and Wolfsburg agreed on the transfer of Kevin De Bruyne, and the Belgium international is now a member of The Citizens for the next six years.

“I want to reach the highest level possible as a player,” De Bruyne told Manchester City’s website of the move, “and I think the most important thing is that at the end of the season we can be happy and maybe have some titles. I think this is the most important for the club, the players and for the fans of course.”

According to BBC Sport, City paid a reported $84.8 million transfer fee for the midfielder. De Bruyne is the fourth high-profile transfer for Manchester City this window after Raheem Sterling, Fabian Delph and Nicolas Otamendi all signed with the club as well.

PERALTA, MONTES OUT OF MEXICO SQUAD FOR SEPTEMBER FRIENDLIES

Injuries will be keeping two Mexico regulars from competing with the national team in September.

The Federacion Mexicana de Futbol (FMF) announced late Sunday that Oribe Peralta and Luis Montes will miss Mexico’s friendlies against Trinidad and Tobago and Argentina.

Against Cruz Azul on Saturday, Peralta suffered a back injury, and Montes is now struggling with a right thigh injury after his side’s win vs. Toluca Sunday.

Tijuana forward Henry Martin and Tigres UANL defender Israel Jimenez will replace them.

  1. That move by Hernandez to Leverkusen was probably the best decision he could have made. No doubt he is going to get minutes at a top 4 team in Germany and playing in CL.

  2. Man Yoo with a panic buy spending 36M Pounds on a French teenager who nobody’s heard of. I guess on the bright side they offloaded De Gea and Hernandez.

    • You do know that this “teenager who nobody’s heard of” just got called into the full French National Team for their next 2 games right?

      • I guess because a player gets called into a national team he’s all of a sudden worth 36M pounds. Even Wayne Rooney has no idea who he was.

      • It’s not who he was.

It’s who he is now and more important, who he will be.

Rooney’s a player not a player personnel executive. I wouldn’t expect him to know anything about young players, especially foreign ones. I’d be shocked if he knew who Wil Trapp, Harry Shipp or Steve Birnbaum were.

      • The deal is reputed to be 80 million pounds.

        The kid is an investment.

I’m sure Man U’s money people have found a way structure this thing so that they will make out on the deal.

If in the next few years he becomes the next big thing then Man U can make their money back on him easily.with his on the field performance and other alternative sources of revenue.

And eventually they can sell him to Real Madrid.

Teams like Man U and Real Madrid operate in a completely different financial arena than you or me when we are buying a house or a car for example.

The main thing is that he has to become the next CR7 or at least the next RVP.

If he does that then he will be making the argument that he is underpaid.

If he doesn’t then a lot of people you and I have never heard of will get fired and the whole thing will be swept under a rug and covered up probably by another big money outrageous signing.

  3. And who does Chicharito think he is. Its only West Ham. Sure he has good scoring stats. But he’s a super-sub striker, not a super striker. Modesty my friend.

  4. Poor keylor navas. 2nd best keeper in the 2014 WC. Got his dream move to Madrid and now theyre gonna use him because he isnt some big fancy name

    • Most managers would rate the starting goalkeepers for Germany and Belgium over him. The fact that Real Madrid values Spain’s back up goalkeeper more than Navas speaks volumes.

      • I think it is a similar refrain – great shot stopper, but not as strong as the Euro keepers.

Sounds like criticisms of Guzan, Howard, Keller, Ochoa, etc
