Sure. Does occur though that as a fanbase we tend to look only to the backline when speaking/critiquing defense. The Peru game is an illustration that it takes all 11. That when you sit back, absorb, give acres of space, it’s asking a whole lot of a backline and it’s sure to look vulnerable. When you pressure up high, all players defend, cut off passing lanes and hold the ball more…….. suddenly things look different.
