The weekend may be over, but college soccer action continues to roll over into the week, with some of the nation’s top teams competing from coast to coast.

SBI No. 1 UCLA has a chance at redemption Monday, as it travels to face the struggling No. 8 Georgetown Hoyas.

The Bruins did not find the result they were hoping for in Friday’s 2-1 heartbreaking loss to No. 6 Maryland, but UCLA did not perform badly at Ludwig Field. Standout forward Abu Danladi scored a late goal to tie things up and force overtime, demonstrating resilience — a trait usually reserved for the nation’s top teams.

The Bruins can make a statement against the Hoyas to prove they are such a team, especially since the Hoyas have lost three games in their 2015 campaign despite being named SBI Preseason No. 1.

Meanwhile, Monday also sees two teams from the Carolinas butt heads, with a strong No. 9 Clemson side hosting No. 13 Coastal Carolina.

The Chanticleers took down No. 20 Charlotte Friday, and will be looking to take down another Top 25 team in a matter of days. However, Clemson has been exceptional to start the year, with senior Paul Clowes and junior Iman Mafi pulling the strings in the midfield.
