Wednesday provides a busy day of soccer, with knockout games in England, league action in Spain and CONCACAF Champions League contests headlining the day’s festivities.
In England, the Capital One Cup continues in its third round, with Tottenham Hotspur hosting Arsenal in a mouth-watering match. Arsene Wenger’s side are the current holders of the FA Cup, and its no secret that the French manager will grasp at any opportunity for silverware.
Spanish soccer features both of the league’s titans, as Real Madrid takes on Athletic Bilbao in La Liga action, while fellow perennial power Barcelona takes on Celta Vigo.
After Bayern Munich crushed Wolfsburg 5-1 yesterday, Borussia Dortmund will have to post a win away to TSG Hoffenheim to keep the pace in the Bundesliga.
The Seattle Sounders host the Vancouver Whitecaps in CCL action, with a win for either side ensuring that an MLS team wins that group. Elsewhere, the LA Galaxy look to clinch their spot in the knockout rounds with a win at Central FC.
If you will be watching today’s soccer, please feel free to share your thoughts, opinions and some play-by-play in the comments section below.

But considering Lewandowskis performance?
Who would you rank as the top 3 strikers in the world right now? Minus Messi/Ronaldo. We knoe they are superheroes
So out of the following who are the top 3
Zlatan, RVP, Mario Gomez, Suarez, Aguero, Matuidi, Rooney, Costa, Mandzukic, Dzeko, Balotelli, Tevez, Bacca? Lewandowski?
Do you base it on number of goals or types of goals or when they scored the goals (such as in a final or big match)
A lot of those you have listed are not producing this year (or even last year).
yea and the hardest part of this question is is it ‘most talented’, ‘most in-their-prime’ or even just ‘having the best season’. the ‘who’s the top 3?’ debate is always a tricky one. i’m not trying to discourage this debate, just saying there are a few ways to judge that list. 🙂
Altidore
I love all the football on tv now. Literally i turn on the tv anyday of the week and i can see a new match. Whether its CL or a domestic cup competition or Serie A
looks like lots of our boys are playing well. I have been advocating Bjorn Marrs Jonsen for a while, he plays in the Bulgarian league, here is his goal from yesterday.

+1, we’ve had an eye on him for a while. Actually just sent him an offer sheet to be a partner.
Fabian Johnson scores!!!
